            Communion calls us to:

             A . . .Come back to His house.

             B . . .Come together as His family.

  1.         . . .Cling to Him.

 

  1.   Communion commands us to clean out our sins, consecrate, consecrate ourselves and celebrate our Savior, The Lamb of God.  (II Chronicles 30:13-27)

              Communion commands us to:

  1.       . . .Clean out the old leaven.
  2.         . . .Consecrate ourselves.
  3. . . .Celebrate our Savior.

         1st  Pay attention to the past by realizing  (II Chronicles 27:1-5)

    1. God is Sovereign Lord over the past . . .

                                       AND

    1. Has recorded it to rescue us in the present.

         2nd  Plan life for the present by    (II Chronicles 27:6)

    1. Trusting and obeying  God who is Sovereign Lord over the

                      present.

    1. Ordering life in accordance to His unchanging law.

          3rd  Prepare our children for the future by  (II Chronicles 27:7-9)

    1. By giving our attention and time to them.
    2. By bringing them up in the training and correction of the Lord.

           A.  When fear gripes our hearts let us turn our faces to               Him.

           B.  To face what causes our fear we come together to seek Him.

          C.  When we stand together with the Lord we will see the salvation of  the Lord.

    I.     Those who lean on the Lord rise up and rout the enemy.

            (II Chronicles 14)

            A.  To lean on the Lord one must stay spiritually fit.

            B.  Those leaning on Him will always win.

    II.     Those who keep leaning on Him will secure the boundaries of the win.     (II Chronicles 15)

             A.  Those who keep leaning are hearing and obeying His challenge to  continue the fight.

             B.  Those who continue leaning extend the boundaries of His victory.

    III.     Those who start leaning on themselves loose the ground won.    (II Chronicles 16)

              A.  To begin leaning on ourselves instead of the Lord we loose the  battle.

             B.  To lean on "self" instead of the Lord leaves one with the ugly  after-effects.

            B.  The Father gives His children gifts of understanding, wisdom and ability.

    II.     An undivided heart transforms His gifts into the godly character necessary  for heavenly success.  (I Kings 6-10)

            A.  God's gifts allow His sons and daughters to grasp the opportunity to accomplish His will.

            B.  A heart completely given to God turns opportunity into eternal success.

    III.    A divided heart leads to a failed life and a fractured world.  (I Kings 11)

            A.  A crack in the heart if not closed becomes a chasm.

            B.  A divided heart turns one from God and all that is forever good.

    2. Troubles rise-up to cover your heart and keep you from following Christ.
    3. When troubles rise-up call on Him who will take you-up to the Rock  higher than you!
    4.     When God leads you to the Rock higher than you take your stand in dependence on Him.    (Psalm 61:5-8)
    5. God takes you to the Rock in answer to your prayers to continue His  great plan.
    6. To stay on the Higher Rock continually worship and trust only Him.

    A. Silence about my sin destroys the body and agonizes the soul.
    B. When I don't confess my sin, God's hand is heavy upon me and His Spirit is a consuming fire in me.
    II. Happiness is confessing my sin to the Lord and restoring fellowship with Him. (Psalm 32:5-7;1-2)
    A. Confession is declaring my sin and guilt to the Father.
    B. Confession restores fellowship with the Father.
    III. Righteousness is continuing in fellowship with the Lord through following His directions and responding to His corrections. (Psalm 32:8-11)
    A. The Lord directs those desiring to go His way.
    B. The Lord corrects those in fellowship with Him.

            A.  The race is won by aggressive obedience.

     

            B.  Anything less than complete obedience is total loss.

    II.  Those serving God in a nation under a king are to stay, pray and display The King.   (I Samuel 12:12-25)

          A.  We are to stay and pray for our nation.

     

          B.  We are to proclaim and display The King to our nation.
